It’s now Humpback season again with whale numbers are on the increase by around 10%.
Yep, it’s that time of the year again that over the winter months (from June) Humpback whales are starting their journey past Caloundra.
We have been blessed with over 23,000 Humpback whales taking the 10,000km journey from the icy waters of Antarctica to our warmer tropical breeding grounds off our sunny Queensland coast.
Good news: More whales are coming up the Queensland coast than ever before and more babies being born in the Queensland’s waters.
There hasn’t been a more exciting time to catch a glimpse of these truly majestic creatures either from the beach, Moffat Beach headland lookout as this is their turning spot to head out towards Morton Island or you can just head 30 minutes north to Mooloolaba for whale watching tours with www.whaleone.com.au or yes, you can even swim with the whales for a truly life changing experience offered by the crew at www.sunreef.com.au
